The Alfano Magnetic Lap Timing System:
The "Alfano" lap timing system is contained in a small Formula One / Indy Cart type dashboard, easily installed on your motorcycle. "Alfano" provides you instantly with lap times, lap-time differences, and many data. By giving you all the necessary information in REAL TIME on a LARGE DISPLAY, "Alfano" helps you react fast and thus beat the competition. "Alfano" also enables you to recall all data while in the pit and even to download it to your PC for deeper and more sophisticated analysis.
The system is connected to a magnetic sensor located on the bottom of the vehicle (for tracks equipped with magnetic strips) or to an infrared receiver on the front panel (this is for tracks not equipped with magnetic strips). Each time the vehicle passes over the magnetic strip (or beside the beacon), "ALFANO" gives the lap time.
